Before & After – An Extensive Yard Renovation For This House In Turkey

As part of an overall house renovation in Istanbul, Turkey, TEAM Project Architecture transformed the yard to create an ‘oasis in the desert’.



The extensive yard upgrade starts at the front of the house, where a small garden was replaced with a path, and a larger tree.






The side of the house, which now has modern black window frames, has had its path replaced with pavers and white pebbles, and a swimming pool has been added.



The house has also been extended to provide additional living space that opens up to the yard, while hidden lighting showcases the lines of the architecture at night.



A raised deck by the new swimming pool acts as a sunbathing terrace.



A tiled wall acts as a water wall alongside the pool and provides privacy for the landscaped yard.



The backyard landscape design also includes a variety of raised sections that help to define the new areas like the barbecue / outdoor kitchen, lounge area, and dining area.



The dining area is covered with a modern pergola, providing shade on a hot sunny day.






There’s also a patio with high back chairs and a sofa for relaxing or entertaining.



Looking down from the upper level of the home, you can see the overall layout, and how the interior of the home opens up to interact with the outdoor spaces.
